Leadership
President of Associated Student Body (ASB) Election
I was elected President for the 2023-24 school year. Throughout the election, I prepared and delivered multiple public speeches in front of the entire student body, participated in a school-wide impromptu-question debate, designed campaign posters and t-shirts, spent time going to classrooms to discuss my election platform issues with fellow students, and getting feedback on how they think their school experience may be improved.
Vice President (ASB)
of School Spirit
As Spirit Week Coordinator, I planned and organized the dates and themes for our Spirit Week events, designed to increase inclusion and participation across school-wide celebrations.
Vice President (ASB)
of Club Fair
As “Club Fair” Coordinator, I planned and executed a Fair for our school clubs so everyone could mingle and decide which clubs they wanted to join, nurturing an open forum for student participation and exploration across topics and disciplines of their choosing.
Grauer Cheer Team
I am the founder and captain of my school’s first cheer team. After noticing the lack of school spirit and student enthusiasm on our campus after the anxiety and trepidation of returning to campus after COVID-19, I petitioned our school administration to allow me to start the Cheer Club. Currently, we only have 4 members, but I plan to grow our club and continue to lead pep rallies and spirit events at my school.
Performing Arts Workshop (PAW) Student Leadership Corps & Buddy Program
I created the Student Leadership Corps at PAW, a community building and outreach initiative for my studio. I also created the “Buddy Program” to help mentor younger dancers and assist in camps and classes.
Middle School Mentor
I served as a mentor to assigned middle school students providing academic, social, and emotional support during the school year. My responsibilities to my mentees include weekly check-ins, lunch outings, emotional and social support, and educational guidance. This has been an incredibly rewarding experience, both as a former mentee as well as serving as a mentor.
Student Ambassador
I’ve been serving as a school ambassador throughout my time at the Grauer School. I was selected by our Development Director as a freshman to take on this role to be the face and voice of our student body for all Open Houses and outreach events. I have helped facilitate events, lead student tours, participated in Q&A panels for prospective and incoming students and families, and partook in interviews for the social media and marketing campaigns for our school.
